Description

The painting “The Hunt” is depicting the animal and multiple viewers (the hunters). The value of the kill is significant in that it provided meat, skin and general wellbeing to the tribe/family. The painting is dark creating a mood of uncertainty and death.

The symbol of the sun brings light, hope and a new tomorrow. One of the sunrays is piercing into the heart of the animal, symbolic of a quick kill to bring life.
